Art 2

I call this piece 'The One that Stands Alone' because of the lone red square in a sea of green. It was supposed to be a monochromatic painting using tempera paints, but I added the single red square, because I thought it would pop and look very interesting.

This is another monochromatic painting using tempera paints. This one is a vast ocean that leads up to a beach and mountains. I think I did a nice job of painting the ocean at the bottom of the paper, as well as in the clouds.

This painting was the first time I used acrylic paints, and it is of 2 gourds and an apple. It was intended to be only warm colors in the foreground, but I mixed the warm colors together to make the green, which turned out pretty well. The background is all cool colors and I like the mystical feeling it gives the painting

I believe that this is my best piece so far. It is an acrylic painting of lockers using perspective. I did a very good job of blending the colors and going from very bright to very dark. The color scheme I used was a double-complementary relationship

This is a picture of a mouth. This is one of three drawings I did to practice drawing facial features. I'm really happy with the shading of the entire thing, especially the lips themselves.

This is a drawing of an eye. It is my favorite of the three practice drawings. The overall shading I think is fantastic, and the eyebrows look very realistic. The glare on the eye really adds to how realistic the eye looks.

This is last of my three facial practice drawings. I was happy with how the ball of the nose turned out. It gave it a nice amount of depth and set up the other shades nicely.

I was very curious as to what it would look like if all three of my drawings were all thrown into the same picture, so through photoshop, I did. I think it looks really realistic, even though it's lacking cheeks and a forehead.

This piece of art is the pinnacle of my Art 2 career. It is a hawk eye with the eye and the beak of the hawk made out of oil pastels. The feathers are made from chalk pastels, and the crackle effect was made with oil pastels.

This is a painting of a flower made with acrylic paints. I liked making the black background. I feel like it makes the flower pop. Volzer argues that it is "flowers" because of the petal in the background. But that's just the background.
This beautiful face is a reverse drawing using white pencils on black paper. After multiple retries, I feel like I finally got the correct amount of brightness in it.

This was my first attempt at drawing a whole face using pencils on paper. It is a drawing of Kevin Durant and I am really happy with how it turned out. Other than the accidental line across his forehead, I think this a great drawing.
